SMS Opt-In

This page documents the Real Friends SMS call to action (CTA) for carrier review. Real Friends only sends SMS notifications to users who provide a verified mobile phone number and explicitly opt in.

Where the CTA Appears

The SMS opt-in CTA appears inside the Real Friends iOS app during account creation and may also appear in notification settings before a user enables text reminders. The SMS checkbox is unchecked by default. SMS consent is optional and is not required to create an account or use core app features.

Carrier Review Identity

Carrier reviewers should treat Lumaneta Inc. as the legal sender and Real Friends as the consumer-facing app and SMS program name. All SMS consent, terms, privacy, support, and website pages use this same Lumaneta Inc. / Real Friends relationship.

Message Types

Friend activity alerts, such as tags or friend requests.
Event reminders for events a user saves, RSVPs to, or signs in for.
Important account notifications related to the user's Real Friends account.

Message frequency varies. Most users receive up to 5 messages per month.
