Terms of Service

These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your access to and use of Real Friends ("RFO" or the "Service"), operated by Lumaneta Inc. By creating an account or using the Service, you agree to be bound by these Terms.

1. Acceptance of Terms

By accessing or using RFO, you agree to these Terms and our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, do not use the Service. We may update these Terms from time to time. Continued use after changes constitutes acceptance.

2. Account Registration and Responsibility

To use RFO, you must:

  • Be at least 13 years old.
  • Provide a valid phone number for verification.
  • Provide accurate and complete profile information.
  • Keep your account credentials secure.

You are responsible for all activity under your account. If you believe your account has been compromised, contact support@realfriends.io.

3. The 50-Friend Limit

RFO is designed around a smaller, more intentional social circle. We may adjust product limits over time, but the principle of intentional connection will guide our decisions.

4. Content Ownership and License

You own your content. Text posts, photos, comments, and other content you create belong to you. By posting content, you grant Lumaneta Inc. a non-exclusive, royalty-free license to host, store, display, and distribute your content solely to operate and provide the Service to you and your friends.

This license ends when you delete your content or account, except where your content has already been shared with others and they have not deleted it.

5. Prohibited Conduct

You agree not to:

  • Use the Service for illegal purposes or in violation of applicable laws.
  • Post harassing, threatening, abusive, defamatory, obscene, or otherwise objectionable content.
  • Impersonate another person or entity.
  • Attempt to access another user's account or data without authorization.
  • Use bots, scrapers, or automated means to access the Service.
  • Interfere with or disrupt the Service or its infrastructure.
  • Post spam, advertisements, or unsolicited commercial content.

6. Content Moderation

We are committed to maintaining a safe and respectful community. Users can report posts or users in the app. Content that violates these Terms may be removed, and accounts that repeatedly or seriously violate these Terms may be suspended or terminated.

If you believe content was removed in error or your account was actioned unfairly, contact support@realfriends.io.

7. Privacy

Our collection and use of personal information is described in our Privacy Policy, which is incorporated into these Terms by reference.

8. SMS/Text Message Communications

Real Friends sends SMS notifications to users who provide a phone number and explicitly opt in. Messages may relate to friend activity, account notifications, or invite activity.

  • Consent is not a condition of purchase.
  • Message frequency varies. Most users receive up to 5 messages per month.
  • Message and data rates may apply.
  • Reply STOP to opt out or HELP for help.
  • Carriers are not liable for delayed or undelivered messages.

We do not sell, rent, or share your mobile phone number with third parties or affiliates for their marketing purposes. For full SMS details, see our SMS Communications page.

9. Termination

You may delete your account at any time by contacting support@realfriends.io. We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms or harm other users, us, or third parties.

10. Disclaimers

The Service is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, either express or implied, including implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement.

11. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Lumaneta Inc. shall not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, punitive, or similar damages, or for loss of profits, data, use, goodwill, or other intangible losses resulting from your use of the Service.

12. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of California, without regard to conflict of law principles.
